Brand impersonation, found and evidenced

Someone is selling your brand and it isn’t you.

A fake storefront takes the order, and your customer blames you. Katcher finds the fakes and proves it with evidence you can check yourself. Then either we close the store, or we hand you the notice ready to send.

For DTC and Shopify brands that have outgrown checking by hand — whose photography, listings and name keep turning up on storefronts they never set up.

Free, no card, no sales call.

What you are looking at

Everything we find, on one board.

Each store carries the signals that flagged it, how far its case has got, and — when it turns out to be one of yours — a note that it was cleared and never reported.

WHY NOW

One operation was found running more than 30,000 storefronts against 350 apparel brands across 80 countries — around 8,000 live at any moment, with 50 new domains a day. CTM360, February 2026

The real cost of a copycat

A fake store does not just take your photographs. It takes your customer.

Monica R.

You sent me the wrong product. I have attached a photo.

Jordan M.

Ordered this and never got it. Total waste of money.

Your reputation pays first

Customers do not blame the scammer, because they do not know there was one. The bad reviews land on your listing and the support tickets arrive for orders you never took.

EXPECTED REVENUE

$46,308

down $21,420

Revenue goes somewhere else

A customer who thinks they already bought from you does not come back. The sale is gone and so is the second one.

You pay more for your own name

Copycats bid on your brand terms, which pushes your own cost per click up, and they fill the results page with clones that push your listing down. You spend more and get less.

How it works

DetectProvePrepareClose

What we look for

Seven signals, checked on every candidate.

  • Product photography copied from your store, matched byte for byte
  • Product descriptions and page titles duplicated from your catalogue
  • Your trademarks and registered marks used in listings
  • Domain names built from permutations of your brand
  • Sites describing themselves as your official store or outlet
  • Your own support and contact details reused on someone else's site
  • Domains registered in the last few weeks, registrant redacted

Any one of these on its own can have an innocent explanation. The pack reports each separately, with its own re-check, so you can weigh them yourself rather than take a score on trust.

Two options

We take it down, or we hand you everything to take it down yourself.

Option one

We take it down

Every route that needs no signature from you: Google Safe Browsing, so browsers warn anyone who lands on the store, then the host’s abuse desk, the registrar per its published policy, the CDN and the payment processor. We send them, chase them, and watch until the store is gone. These describe what a site is doing rather than assert who owns what, so they need no rights holder — and your contact details never appear on any of them.

DECEPTIVE SITE AHEAD

Attackers on vanterra-goods-outlet.example may trick you into doing something dangerous. Back to safety.

What a shopper sees once a report is accepted. Illustrative.

Option two

You take it down

Copyright and trademark notices reach venues the first route cannot, but they carry a sworn statement that the seller is not authorised — and only you can make it, because only you know who you have authorised. We fill in every other field. You review it and send it from your own address.

We do everything that does not need your signature, and we prepare everything that does. We never sign anything as you.

When you send an IP notice, the platform passes your contact details to the store’s operator. We tell you before you send, every time. On the reports we send ourselves, that does not happen.

The evidence pack

Detection is the easy half. The evidence is the product.

Every line carries its own re-check. Every capture is dated, so the pack survives a takedown and a respawn.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Do you take it down, or do I?

Either, per store. Everything that needs no signature, we send and chase. Notices carrying a sworn statement are yours to send — we fill in every other field.

How many stores have you taken down?

None yet. Katcher is new, and we would rather say so than dress up a number. It is why finding and evidence cost nothing: you can see what we turn up for your brand and judge it on the evidence rather than on our claims.

What if the store comes back on a new domain?

It happens, and it is why respawn watch is included. A reappearance by the same operator within 90 days is re-prepared at no charge.

Do you work with our resellers?

You give us your authorised list and we clear against it. Anything we cannot place is raised as a question, never as an accusation.

Start with your own domain.

One full pass, free, no card. If we find nothing, we will tell you that too.

What you get back

  • Every suspicious domain we found
  • Dated screenshots, with capture times
  • Exactly what was copied, beside your own
  • Domain age and registration record
  • The step to re-check each finding yourself
  • Where each venue says to report, per its own published policy
  • The notice drafted, every field filled but your signature
